"Since Irwin Entertainment is a newly formed company, our aim was to
create a strong identity that evoked a sense of excitement while
reinforcing the company name," says Creative Group Design CD Gary
Keenan. "The identity has to work across all media and be quickly
recognizable." After producing an on-air identity, Keenan collaborated
with era//404 to develop a stationery system and a business card design.
"We wanted the stationery to have the same energetic impact that John
Irwin's work is known for," says era//404's Don Citarella (Irwin's
recent projects include NBC’s Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks show, Bad Boys of Comedy for Paramount, and Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry
for HBO). With "strong type applied positively and reversed on both
sides of all printed material," each piece is intended to "incorporate
the excitement of the brand and provide the recipient with a surprise
when turning over the cards, opening the envelopes and unfolding the
letterhead." See www.creativegroup.tv and www.era404.com for more.
