INSTALLATION
You must have access to your FTP/WEB server. Please observe the following instructions for installing era//404 Gallery Tool:

1. Unzip contents and upload to your web server's root directory, or internal directory in which the gallery is to reside. This directory will correspond to the link you will later distribute to share your own Gallery.

2. Change the directory permissions to allow write access for the following:
admin/logs - logfiles
albums - date folders and images
captions - text captions
config - system configuration files

* With most ftp clients, you can simply right-click the folder name and select PROPERTIES, PERMISSIONS or CHMOD to change folder permissions.

3. Launch administration/back-end for the first time by browsing the gallery at the address you selected in step 1. Click "Admin Tool" in the lower right corner of the screen. Enter default username and password as follows:
user: admin
pass: 1234

4. Configure your installation by entering new values for the following system parameters:
Gallery Name - The name of your gallery, appearing at the top
Lit Days - The hexidecimal color value for days featuring images
UnLit Days - The color for days not featuring images
Admin Username - Your admin username (default: admin)
Admin Password - Your admin password (default: 1234)
Contact Email - The corresponding email address for the CONTACT link on the bottom right corner of your gallery.

5. Click ADD IMAGES in your administrator control menu to add new images. You may choose the current date (default) or if earlier dates exist, you may add the new images to an existing date.

6. Click MANAGE IMAGES to view gallery images by date. From this administrator control menu, you may move dates, rename and delete gallery images.

7. Click LOGOUT to safely log out of your gallery.
