ROOM

Little Brown and Company hired ERA404 to create the web site, book trailer and concept giveaways for the much-anticipated release of Emma Donoghue’s ROOM. The story is told from the viewpoint of a 5-year-old boy who has spent his life in a captivity with his mother. What better way to illustrate the childlike fantasy world and creativity of ROOM than by creating a paper, crayon and tape representation of the room itself.

The site features 3D animation, a child’s narration, videos, audio clips and a wealth of information for fans of the author and the book. ERA404 also created a one-minute viral video and crayons as hand-outs to unify the campaign and enhance reader recognition of the book cover.

Little Brown and Company and Reagan Arthur Books worked with ERA404 in the past on the site for Jonathan Safran Foer’s Eating Animals and Joshua Ferris’s The Unnamed.

“I couldn’t have asked for a smoother and more enjoyable process in having a site conceptualized, planned, and executed. In our first project with ERA404, the website received praise from all corners, and embodied everything we set out to do. I look forward to more sites with the studio!”
